End of semester reflection

There are a lot of areas for growth next semester for our project. We need to improve on advancing the plot, making the plot clearer, and developing lighting as well as sound. Our group also needs to work on finding an ending to the story because so far we don’t know how we are going to conclude it. We have been exploring several options but we need to pick which one fits our story the best. For lighting we have written out what we want to happen but we still need to program the cues and figure out how we are going to do some of the on stage lighting that we want. We still need to write the scene where the dream Ellie is talking about her relationship with her sister. This is my monologue and I need to make sure that it isn’t repetitive, and that it is natural. Also, we need to make sure that it is clear to the audience that I am Helena's subconscious/dream self. We can do this by having us wear the exact same thing, but we think that we need something else to make it clear that we are portraying the same person. This is something that we need to figure out next semester. We also need to work on making the dialogue more natural because a lot of the things we are saying aren’t natural and they seem forced. One of the ideas that we had for making it more natural, was to talk to each other and use some of those lines to construct the dialogue. In this project my part has been to help with writing the script and my own monologue. I also helped with developing the lighting ideas. I have also been watching the scene that i'm not in, and I have been giving critiques about what could make it better.
